JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF
“TRAINER, RESEARCHER, AND CONTENT CREATOR.”

About Multiple Action Research Group (MARG)
MARG is a forerunner in the field of access to justice and legal empowerment. Since 1985 the organisation has been engaged in the legal empowerment of disadvantaged and marginalized groups through legal awareness, socio-legal research, advocacy initiatives, and legal aid. MARG works both at the grassroots and policy levels.
Position Overview:
The Role of a Trainer, researcher, and content creator involves undertaking Capacity Building, Research work, and developing content to support various initiatives of the organization and for the team.
The role involves supporting and leading programme implementation, conducting legal research, preparing documentation, providing training, developing content, and coordinating across MARG’s projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the implementation of project activities wherever required under different programs
- Training planning, execution, and monitoring deliverables aligned with Program / Project goals
- Supervise, conduct, and update legal research, prepare reports, and contribute to documentation.
- Synthesizing legal materials, drafting legal documents, and supporting knowledge products for advocacy and capacity building.
- Develop modules and other training materials for internal purposes and external partners. Also, develop IEC material as per the requirement. (posters/ leaflets/ audio visuals, etc)
- Support in Planning, preparing creatives, captions, posts across platforms, and ensuring increased awareness and engagement.
- Legal Counselling wherever required, and also supervise DLSA lawyers’ visit and ensure usefulness, quality, and continuity
- Evaluate the Case MIS to include all the cases under all programs and projects of MARG and update and maintain if required.
- Commitment to the vision, mission, and values of the organization, adhere to organisational policies, financial procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across different projects and departments.
- Participate in organisational meetings, training programmes, and review processes.
- Represent the organisation professionally while interacting with community members, government officials, partner organisations, and other stakeholders.
- Proactively work towards building your own capacities and improving professional skills
- Eagerness to undertake additional responsibilities as required to support organisational priorities, events, or programme needs.
Required Qualification and Skills:
- M/LL.B degree from a recognised University OR exceptionally good understanding of law and social issues
- Exceptionally good understanding of the rights of women, children, and other marginalized sections of society and access to justice mechanisms in India
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Hindi
- Efficient time management skills, willingness to work with a tight deadline and ability to work in complex and diverse working environments.
- Well-versed with computer applications, data analysis, Word Processing, and Audio-Visual PowerPoint Presentations.
- Competent writing skills with the ability to describe, analyse, and report project progress.
- Good monitoring and evaluation kills
Travel Requirements: Must be comfortable traveling to the project areas in India for supervision and coordination.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience
Duration: 1st July 2026 – 31st March 2027
Job Category: Contractual
Remuneration: 30,000 – 40,000 per month.
