Ms Sana Siddiqui
Executive Director 

Sana Siddiqui is a seasoned socio-legal professional with over 20 years of experience in advancing constitutional values, rights, and access to justice, particularly for women, children, and marginalised communities. She brings to MARG a rare blend of legal expertise, grassroots engagement, and strategic leadership in programme design, capacity building, and policy advocacy.

Prior to joining MARG, Sana led the Capacity Building Programme at We, The People Abhiyan, where she developed innovative content and trained and mentored facilitators across India. She has previously held leadership roles at HAQ: Centre for Child Rights and consulted with national institutions, including NCPCR, NCW, CARA, and HIPA. Her work has contributed to critical justice reforms, especially in the areas of child sexual abuse, juvenile justice, and the rights of women.

Sana has authored and edited multiple publications on child protection laws, labour rights, and welfare schemes. She has a deep commitment to demystifying law and creating accessible legal knowledge for communities. She recently co-authored the updated Stakeholders’ Manual for the Juvenile Justice System, released by Hon’ble Mr. Justice S. Ravinder Bhat.

Having worked with MARG earlier in her career, Sana returns with renewed energy and vision to lead the organisation into its next phase—strengthening legal empowerment and ensuring that justice is accessible, participatory, and transformative.

D Edwin Charles,
Director Programme 

Mr. D. Edwin Charles is a post graduate in Social work from Madras Christian College, Chennai and MBA in Human Resource Management from Delhi.

He has 30 years of experience in programme development and management of various projects on Urban Poverty reduction, Sustainable Rural development Youth development focusing on the upliftment of most marginalized communities in India and Singapore. He has previously served in the Senior Management team of couple of Organizations and added values to programme administration, Grant management and Partnership coordination.

Shikha Mishra
Law Researcher, Project- Enabling Access to Justice

Shikha Mishra is and advocate and responsible for implementing activities under the projects by the organisation.  She has trained aprox 500 Community Justice Workes (CJWs) in West Champaran, Kushinagar, Nagpur and Bhandara Districts under the project “Promoting Women’s Rights”. She is LL. M. from University of Kota, Rajasthan. 

Anjali Shukla 
Project Coordinator

Anjali Shukla is a dedicated legal professional with a strong commitment to advancing women’s and children’s rights. She completed her LL.B. from Amity University Lucknow and further honed her legal acumen while working as a Law Researcher under Justice Sangeeta Chandra at the Allahabad High Court. With over three years of extensive litigation experience before District Courts, High Courts, and the State Consumer Forum, Anjali has developed significant expertise in matrimonial disputes, family law, and allied legal matters. Known for her compassionate yet strategic approach, she combines a deep understanding of legal procedures with a strong commitment to social justice, making her a dedicated and effective advocate in the legal field..

Kirti is responsible for implementing  activities under the projects by the organisation.  She is graduate from Kurukshetra University and MSW from Indira Gandhi National Open University.

Rahit Raj is responsible for implementing  activities under the projects by the organisation.  He is graduate from Mitila University, Darbhanga  and MSW from Karnataka State Open University.

More than 25 years of academic, research, training and project management experience in educational, research, NGO/development sector, works at Multiple Action Research Group (MARG) since 2009. Before joining MARG, he was a Project Fellow at Department of Gender Studies, NCERT, MHRD, Government of India and at various academic and community based organizations at state level. His academic training is based on Commerce, Law, Management and History. He has specialization in Gender, Active citizenry, Good Governance, Women’s Rights, Child Rights, Dalit and Minorities Rights. In 2017 he attended the Gender Forum in Vietnam and the Gender Academy at International Training Center of ILO, Turin, Italy. In 2018 he was a panel discussant in a ‘Conference on Gender Inclusiveness and Equality’ at Kota Kinabalu, organized by Sabah State Government, Malaysia. ITC/ILO recognized “Great Networker” amongst the 156 delegates of 54 countries from 5 continents at the Gender Academy in 2017.
